Project 1 · 24/7 In-Bay Support
The assistant that covers the hours nobody's on site.
Ben's #1 want: a live assistant in every bay. Sim troubleshooting at 1 a.m., booking questions, how-the-bay-works, the BYO food & drink policy — and when it can't resolve something, a clean escalation to Ben with the full transcript. This one is live right now, in text and voice, with a face. Try it.
A real, grounded model — not a scripted click-through. Ask it something awkward, out loud.
Talk to it — live, voice and all
This is the actual Tier 3 experience: the same grounded front-desk brain, now with a microphone, spoken replies and an animated concierge whose mouth moves with the words. Press the mic and just ask — or type; it's one conversation either way, and it follows you across the whole demo site.
Voice, honestly: speech-to-text uses the browser's own Web Speech API — no extra SDK, nothing installed. Chrome and Edge send the audio to the browser vendor for transcription (the assistant tells the guest this before the mic ever opens); Safari keeps more of it on-device; Firefox doesn't support voice input yet, so there the mic simply isn't shown and typing is the whole experience. Replies are spoken with the device's own voice, and the guest can interrupt it at any moment.
What it handles
The questions that actually come up in an unstaffed bay — resolved on the spot, or handed to a person cleanly.
Sim troubleshooting
Frozen screen, dropped shots, no ball flight — step-by-step TrackMan reset walkthroughs, right in the bay, read aloud while your hands stay on the club.
Bookings & changes
How online booking and door access codes work, what to do about a change — explained hands-off. (Booking actions are simulated in this demo.)
How-to & house rules
First visit? It walks you through how the bay works, club rules, memberships, lessons with PGA pro Brad Smith.
Food & drink
Food & drink, answered straight: First Cutt is BYO, so it explains the policy and the Terms rather than taking an order.
Escalation with the full transcript
Hardware failure, a refund, anything needing a person — it flags Ben with the whole conversation and captures the guest's contact. Wired, not promised: try "I need a human".
Three tiers, one brain
Same grounded assistant underneath — you choose how guests meet it. This page runs the top tier so Ben can feel all three.
Tier 1 — Text
The typed chat, branded and mounted on the bay tablets and the booking flow. Type a question, get an answer. (Turn the mic and voice replies off above — that's Tier 1.)
Recommended
Tier 2 — Voice
Guests just talk — hands stay on the club. Speaks its answers back, falls back to text on screen. The tier we recommend for a bay.
Tier 3 — Voice + Avatar
A face on the bay screen: an animated concierge that listens with a live mic meter, thinks, and speaks with its mouth in time with the words. It's what you're talking to on this page.
Honest caveat: bays are loud — club strikes, music, a full house. Voice works well with a close mic and push-to-talk, not an open room mic. We spec that hardware with Ben before quoting Tier 2 or 3 as done. And browser voice is the demo grade: the production build swaps in a dedicated speech stack without changing the brain.
